Agency application tracker

Every agency you're applying to, on one board. Log what you sent and when, set a polite follow-up date, and see your whole search at a glance.

Private to this browser. Your list is saved on this device only (browser storage). Nothing is sent to agencies or to StudioMODL. Export a backup file if it matters to you, because clearing your browser data deletes it.

Starter list

Add the date and we'll remind you when they are getting old. Agencies want to see how you look now: CM Models, for example, asks for photos no older than three months (CM Models, checked 2026).

On a computer you can drag cards between columns. Everywhere else, use each card's Status menu.

Starter list: official application pages

These are agencies already documented in StudioMODL's research, each linked to its own official page. They are examples, not recommendations or a complete directory, and StudioMODL has no connection with any of them. Requirements change, so read each page before you apply.

Paris: the Paris agency page in our research (The Face Paris Management) no longer loaded when we checked on 16 October 2026, so we have left Paris out rather than guess. Add a Paris agency yourself from its official site.

How to apply well

Pulled from agencies' own application pages. Each agency is different, so its own instructions always win.

  • Send exactly what they ask for. Models1 wants three photos (headshot, profile, full length); Why Not wants four (headshot, profile, full body, smiling). BFMA advises sending only the kind of photos you're asked for, and notes top agencies receive about 20,000 email applications a year. (Models1, Why Not, checked 2026; BFMA, 2025)
  • Natural beats polished. Phone photos are fine: daylight, no make-up, no filters or retouching, hair away from your face. Ford adds a form-fitting outfit such as skinny jeans and a tank top. (Models1, Ford Models, checked 2026)
  • You don't need to buy a portfolio. BFMA says a couple of snapshots, headshot and full length, are enough; a good agency arranges test shoots if it takes you on. (BFMA, 2025)
  • Silence often means no, and that's normal. Next says it will be in touch if it feels you have the right look; Why Not's privacy policy says no feedback means you weren't selected. So use your follow-up date to decide your next step, not to chase. (Next Management, Why Not, checked 2026)
  • Check who is really contacting you. Models1 never contacts applicants through WhatsApp or Facebook and emails only from @models1.co.uk; Ford staff emails end in fordmodels.com. If unsure, contact the agency through its own website first. (Models1, Ford Models, checked 2026)
  • Never send nude photos or bank details. IMG and Next say they never ask for nude or lingerie photos; BFMA says no agency will ask for banking information online. (IMG Models, Next, checked 2026; BFMA, 2025)

No joining fees. Ever.

In the UK, an agency finding work for fashion or photographic models cannot charge you upfront fees for finding work, and that includes putting you in a book or on a website. It can take commission from what you earn once work is found, on terms agreed before the search starts.

Sources: GOV.UK, Fees for fashion and photographic models (published 2015, checked 2026); Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, regulation 26, as amended by SI 2010/1782 (in force 1 October 2010).

Outside the UK, the US Federal Trade Commission is just as blunt: "Any agency asking you for money to represent you is a scam." (FTC, Modeling scams, 2022, updated 2025)

Honest limits

  • Saved only in this browser on this device. Clearing site data, private browsing or switching device loses it, so export a backup.
  • StudioMODL never submits applications, contacts agencies or checks whether an agency is genuine.
  • The starter list is a handful of examples from our research, checked on 16 October 2026. It is not an endorsement, a ranking or a complete directory, and agencies change their pages.
  • Response rate counts cards you've moved to Heard back, Meeting, Offer or Not this time. It is only as accurate as your updates.
  • The fee rules quoted are UK rules; other countries differ. This is general information, not legal advice.
